Features

Random attention checks

At unpredictable moments the lesson pauses and asks the student to respond. Miss it, and the minutes since the last check don't count.

How it works

  1. Checks are scheduled at random points in the student's verified time, so they can't be predicted from the clock.
  2. A check is either a quick content question from your question pool or a click on a randomly placed target.
  3. The student has a short window to respond. A missed or failed check voids the time since the previous check.
  4. Every check and its result is recorded on the student's record.

What your school controls

  • Turn attention checks on or off per course
  • Minimum and maximum time between checks (default 5 to 15 minutes)
  • How long the student has to respond (default 45 seconds)
  • Which quiz questions may be used as in-lesson checks

Questions

Will a mouse jiggler beat it?

No. Checks need a real answer or a click on a target that moves every time.

Does a wrong answer reveal the right one?

No. The student is told the time didn't count, not what the answer was.
