Each school's data is isolated
Every record belongs to one school, and the database itself enforces that one school can never read another's data.
Encrypted in transit and at rest
All traffic uses HTTPS, and stored data, files and backups are encrypted. Integration secrets are encrypted separately.
Proctoring: detection, not recognition
Face detection runs on the student's own device and only checks that one person is present. It never identifies who the person is, and video is never streamed.
Snapshots only your staff can see
Occasional small snapshots and the ID selfie are stored privately. Only your school's staff can view them, through short-lived links, and every view is logged.
Clear retention
Snapshots and ID photos are deleted 180 days after a course is completed by default. Each school can choose anywhere from 30 to 730 days.
No personal data in logs
Our logs record ids, never names, emails or phone numbers, and an automated test checks that on every change.
